Research is ongoing in the laboratories of Estonian universities, which allow us to look at wood with a wider perspective than before. The wood is not put into a furnace, it is not made into fuel or paper, but valuable chemicals and new materials. In this way, with the help of science, it is possible to get much more benefit from wood without increasing the volumes of felling.
